Dance of the earth

Have you ever felt it?
The simple joy
Of letting your body move,
Unbounded.

Have you let gravity
Pull your body towards the earth,
Then leaped,
Arms open wide,
To embrace it all?

And have you let your body
Become just another part
Of the dance,
Of the earth?

Have you felt the earth become your bones,
The wind become the force that moves you,
The rain become your blood, your tears, your sweat?

Have you fallen,
Spent,
Amongst the grass
And closed your eyes against the stillness of it all?

And have you let your body breathe itself,
Dwelling in the pure delight
Of the stillness between the notes?
